Ken Lohento is Digital Innovation Strategy Specialist at FAO’s Regional Office for Africa, where is facilitating the implementation of the Digital Innovation Strategy of the region, as well as the launch of the Pilot Digital Villages Initiative in Africa. He coordinated for eleven years digital agriculture and entrepreneurship projects (such as the Pitch AgriHack project) at the Technical Centre for Agriculture and Rural Cooperation (CTA). He also worked with institutions including the African Development Bank, UNESCO, the Panos Institute for Africa, and Oridev ONG, a civil society organisation that pioneered ICT4D that he founded in Benin. He holds an MBA and a Master’s in information sciences.
