Günter Hemrich is Senior Advisor at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). He has worked on a wide range food security and nutrition policy issues for more than 30 years. Most recently, he has focused on inclusive rural transformation and strategies to enhance food systems’ contributions to healthy diets and improved nutrition, within the framework set by the Sustainable Development Goals. He holds Masters’ Degrees in Agricultural and Resource Economics from Oregon State University, USA, and in Agricultural Sciences from Hohenheim University, Germany.
