Young Professionals in Agricultural Development (YPARD)
Mr. Kofi Kisiedu Acquaye works at the Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA), supporting youth and agribusiness processes. As the Regional Coordinator for the Young Professionals in Agricultural Development (YPARD) Africa, he oversees the activities of YPARD’s country chapters in Africa. Under his leadership, he has established a mentorship framework for youth in Agricultural Research for Development. This is geared towards strengthening the capacity of youth to undertake research activities as well as positioning them for opportunities to participate in policy development processes. His passion lies in enhancing agricultural communication in Africa, which will enable and empower young agricultural leaders to shape sustainable food systems.
Before joining FARA, Mr. Acquaye was engaged in training and management of farmer-based organisations with the Ministry of Agriculture in Ghana. He holds a master’s degree in Development Communication from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and an undergraduate degree in Post-Harvest Technology at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana.
